Cue a style reboot for the perfect slumber

16 Aug 2022

The bedroom is one of your client’s more important rooms; it’s where they sleep, relax and greet the day. So, it’s key that it serves their unique tastes right in terms of colour and design choices. When it comes to matters of style using paint, nothing is too eccentric or plain, it just has to feed the soul of whoever uses it.

What better time to arise out of the ambiguity of the past two years and the absence of key worldwide trends with a drive for some colour kapow. Whether you need to invigorate a client’s bedside table and drawers with a colour that is just right for now, or uplift their wardrobe door with a hue that oozes the drama and optimism of today, know that it is within reach.

When filling a bedroom with charisma, you can either go bold or restrained. The key is to have cohesion with a dialogue running through the chosen colour scheme. Your client may be willing to branch out and wash their walls in a favourite hue on the walls and continue it up onto the ceiling. Or they may prefer to bring pops of their chosen hue to lampshades and a bedhead only. Either way, personality is assured.

In order to help you provide them with the ideal sanctuary with Resene paint, we’ve put together a new habitat plus - bedrooms booklet. Minimal, floral or coastal, the ways to add personality are all there; this guide is not only a source of inspiration for you, but also ideal as a useful pool of ideas to share with your client.

Get cosy and comfy in the ultimate nurturing bedroom, using dark grey Resene Nocturnal paired with layers of earthy and crème hues for comfort and ease. The grey was applied to the feature wall, skirting, cavity door and architraves in this bedroom by interior designer Abbey Lang.
