The trending colour combo you might least expect

It might not be the first pairing that springs to mind when planning your home’s colour scheme, but together blue and brown create a look that feels both timeless and surprisingly fresh.
It makes sense. In nature, the sky’s cool blue looks infinitely striking with the sand’s warmth. So it’s only fitting we can create a similar duo in our own spaces.
Blues bring a sense of calm, while browns add warmth and ground a room. The balance of cool and warm creates an interior that feels inviting and effortless.

The combination of soft sky blues paired with warm whites and brown timber and textiles creates a relaxed, lived-in look. The combo is ideal for summer as it mimics our coastal environments, but also feels extra cosy in winter due to the warm tones.

For a contemporary take, you could also pair deep navy with chocolate brown for a cocooning, luxurious feel. And adding texture through natural timber, leather, linen and greenery or dried flowers helps enhance the look even further.
