Rounded and floral

Nicola Jackson is a talented Wellington-based artist with a clear love of colour. Featured is one of her multi floral pieces, designed on a wooden round with beautiful Resene base hues of Resene Cornflower, Resene Prairie Sand, Resene Pizza and Resene Sail Away. It also includes screen printing and collage with a resin top layer.

“Resene paints are a great ground to paint block colour that are always vibrant and lux,” Nicola says. “I love colour and enjoy combining unexpected colour combinations. My work can be found at selected galleries in NZ and the QT museum hotel.”

These sticks are made for walking

For a gift that’s both thoughtful and beautifully made, NZ Walking Sticks offers handcrafted, Resene painted walking sticks that blend comfort with style. Created by Waipu maker Carey Hablous, each stick features his ergonomic cast aluminium handle, a reinforced bamboo shaft and custom Resene colour options ranging from bold brights to refined neutrals. They’re practical, personal and perfect for loved ones who deserve a little extra support without compromising on style.

Heads or tails

Ms. G is a single māmā and Māori artist hailing from Hamilton. Her work blends expressive colour with urban street-style influence, freehand detailing and cultural storytelling. Her artwork, Not the Tail but the Head, is a contemporary diptych created on clear acrylic panels using a bold palette of Resene colours including Resene Foundry, Resene Tangaroa, Resene Bismark, Resene Hemisphere, Resene Smashed Avocado, Resene Silver Chalice and Resene Spanish White.

“I’ve had a passion for art since I was very young. I love sewing and woodwork but working with paint on acrylic panels allows me to build depth, movement and light through layered colour. My inspiration comes from my faith, family, culture, music, nature and the world around me.

“This piece speaks to identity and faith. My hope is that each layer carries strength, encouragement, and a reminder of purpose.”
