Make your own personalised keyring for mum for this Mother’s Day

Why not give mum something she can carry with her wherever she goes? Get creative with her favourite colours with Resene testpots and give her a unique and one-of-a-kind gift for Mother’s Day this year! She can keep it forever and whenever she grabs her keys she will think of you.

What you need: 

Step 1: Paint two of the beads in your chosen Resene paint colours. Vanessa painted hers in Resene Paper Doll and Resene Sante Fe.

Step 2: For the third bead, use painters tape to tape around half of the bead and paint it in your chosen Resene paint colour. Vanessa used Resene Sante Fe.


Step 3: If you want to add a pattern, use a fine paintbrush and paint a small dash or dot pattern in your chosen Resene paint colour onto one or more of the beads. Vanessa used Resene Cashmere for the dots and painted it onto her bead that was painted in Resene Sante Fe. 

 

Step 4: Take a piece of thread or twine and fold it in half. Thread the beads through and tie a knot at the end. 

Step 5: Hook the key ring hanger to the top loop of the thread/twine and add keys.
