Bridget is a passionate, self-taught artist who is most happy with a brush in hand. Born in Oamaru, she specialises in portraits and loves to bring her subjects to life with the use of Resene paints on canvas.

Whether it's an artistic abstract wildlife piece, your favourite celebrity or a loved one, her contemporary black and white portraits are guaranteed to add a bold statement piece to any collection. Some of Bridget’s favourite and most used shades are Resene Nero, Baltic Sea, Athens Grey and Silver Chalice.

Bridget welcomes commissioned artworks and has prints available – get in touch with her at [email protected] or check out her Instagram @bridgethardingart to see more of her work.

The perfect gift for a Kiwi bach, coastal home, or anyone who appreciates the ocean. Combining an engineering background and a fascination with our waters, Matt Peacock started crafting these beautiful maps, reflecting the local coastline in a multitude of beautiful Resene blues, ranging from the light and bright Resene Sail through to the depths of Resene Space Cadet. “I loved being in the water when I was young, and more recently discovered scuba diving, kayaking and spearfishing,” Matt says. “The more time I spent exploring our beautiful coastline the more my appreciation grew.”

This is a cute DIY project that even the kids can make! Use a cheap frame, or re-purpose an old one, paint it in your loved ones favourite colours and make it as fun and personalised as you like! We used Resene Curious Blue, Feijoa and Chelsea Cucumber for ours. Tip: Use a pencil to draw out your design before painting with a fine paintbrush.

Everybody loves a gift basket filled with treats – or in this case, a gift pot! Re-use an old pot or basket you have at home and paint it however you like to make it fun. We painted a tie design as inspiration for dad, but you could paint flowers, animals or anything you like on yours, depending on who you’re giving it to. We used Resene Azure, Oxygen and Resene White.
