It’s the first thing you, and guests, see when entering your home. Having a tidy and stylish entryway can certainly make all the difference at the end of a long day. With these practical storage ideas and trendy colour schemes, you can be sure to walk in the door smiling the next time you come home!
Space saver clothes rack

Organise your coats, hats, bags and more with this handy corner clothes rack. Perfect for smaller spaces where all you need is a quaint little corner. We made ours from pine and coated it in Resene Aquaclear satin to leave the natural wood grain showing. Make your own clothes rack with our step-by-step guide here!
Entryway wall-drobe

Make a fabulously functional first impression with a streamlined entranceway wardrobe. For a soft, cohesive look, we’ve colour washed the timber in Resene Colorwood Breathe Easy, keeping the palette calm, but you can paint yours in whatever colour you like, or match your existing wall colour. Keys for everyone

Make it simple to always find your keys in the same place with this clever cut-out key ring and holder. Keep it neutral or paint each figure to match your family’s favourite colours! We’ve used (from left) Resene Soothe, Half Halcyon, Half Blanc, Haven and Melting Moment. Click here for the steps to make your own family key holder.
Three colour scheme ideas for your entryway:

Gentle blues create a beachy backdrop for this entrance. Walls are painted in Resene Quarter Powder Blue from the Karen Walker Paints collection, floor in Colorwood Breathe Easy, chair in Powder Blue, shelf in Clouded Blue, planter in Periglacial Blue and Powder Blue. Project by Vanessa Nouwens, image by Bryce Carleton.

This panelled wall doubling as a storage space in Resene Apple Blossom pairs well with walls in Quarter White Pointer. The floor is stained in Colorwood Breathe Easy, bench in Beachcomber, pot in Half Perfect Taupe and vase in Contented. Artwork by Anna Leyland, hat, shoes and bag from Città. Project by Annick Larkin, image by Bryce Carleton.

This entryway has a cosy country quality with Resene Double Lemon Grass on shelving and doors and Quarter Thorndon Cream on walls. Use Colorwood Natural wood stain and clear finishes from the Resene Aquaclear range on exposed timber for an added grounded feel. Design by Sarah Bryant from Bryant Alsop, image by Jack Lovel.
