
DIY Easter carrot treat pot

Friends and family will love receiving these cute carrot treat pots this easter, not only are they quick and inexpensive to make they look great too!
You will need:
- Terracotta pot 13cm in size
- Terracotta lid 13cm in size
- Testpot brush
- Paint testpots in Resene Dell and Ecstasy
- Scissors
- Cardboard
- Clear craft glue
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Shredded paper (optional)
- Chocolate eggs

Step 1: Paint your terracotta pot and lid in Resene Ecstasy using a testpot brush.You may need two coats of paint for best coverage.

Step 2: Measure 10cm in on your cardboard and draw a line in pencil lengthways.

Step 3: Cut your 10cm wide cardboard strip with scissors.

Step 4: Paint your cardboard strip in Resene Dell. You will need to paint both sides of the cardboard.

Step 5: Cut your cardboard into small 1cm strips lengthways ensuring you leave a 2cm gap on the other side or end ( use the picture as a guide).

Step 6: Roll you cardboard to create the carrot topper.

Step 7: Once all rolled up use clear craft glue to secure.

Step 8: Glue the cardboard carrot topper end onto the pot and fluff out the strips. Pop in shredded paper (optional) and chocolate treats ready to give to friends and family.
