Coastin' in style: DIY terracotta saucer coasters
28 Nov 2023
Who said coasters are just for inside? These little cuties are made from terracotta pot saucers and can be left outside all year round. Simply give each saucer a coat of Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer all over then paint your saucers in your favourite Resene colours. Once dry take a fine paint brush and add some creative patterns. This a project the whole family can get involved in, and they also make a great gift for a friend or family member!
You will need:
- 4x small terracotta saucers, ours are 11cm
- Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer
- Fine paintbrush
- Resene testpot paintbrush
- Resene testpots in paint colours of your choice. We used Resene Moonbeam, Resene Indian Ink, Resene Alabaster and Resene Paper Doll
