An egg-cellent Easter project

05 Mar 2026

If simple is more your style when it comes to Easter decorating then a nest of dipped painted Easter eggs could be all you need to decorate your home this year. Take some paper mache eggs from your local craft store and give them a coat of paint in your favourite Easter hues!

You will need:

  • 6x paper mache eggs
  • Paint testpots in Resene Joss, Almond Frost and Sugar Loaf
  • Resene testpot brush

Step 1: Paint your eggs in your chosen colours. We used Resene Joss, Almond Frost and Sugar Loaf.

Step 2: Use a contrasting colour on the top or bottom of the egg to give a dipped look.

Step 3: Pop eggs in a bowl or nest and display on console or bookshelf.

Wall painted in Resene Half Fossil, vase in Sugar Loaf.
