A roar-some dish: DIY animal plates

Impress your guests with these DIY animal plates! The Resene Gold Dust metallic paint makes them look even more elegant, but you can use any of your favourite Resene shades to make them personal and unique. They would even make a great gift!

You will need:

• Three plastic animals
• Three plates
• Craft knife
• Paintbrush
• Resene Quick Dry
• Adhesive glue
• Resene testpot paints in the colours of your choice. Fleur used Resene Apache and Resene Gold Dust

Step 1: Use a craft knife to cut the heads off of the animals and paint them with one coat of Resene Quick Dry.

Step 2: Paint your animals in your chosen Resene paint colours. Fleur painted hers in one coat of Resene Apache followed by two coats of Resene Gold Dust.

Step 3: Once the paint is dry, use strong adhesive to glue the animal bodies to the underside of the plate and the head to the top side of the plate. Enjoy!
