The latest colour trend for September is here and we know just how you can use it!

15 Sep 2025

As we edge towards the warmer months and into the freshness of Spring, our colour choices and intent for design also tend to change. Throughout the year, Color Marketing Group (CMG) announce the latest colours that represent each month and current emerging trends, and September’s hue has now arrived on our radar.

This tone is a perfect near-neutral green that sings of new growth and tranquillity. Take a look at these designs to see how you can incorporate this colour into your next project with Resene paints and wallpapers.

In a world craving resilience and renewal, Anti-Fragile emerges, subtle, luminous and quietly powerful. It invites us to move past vulnerability and step into self-discovery, transformation and strength.

Anti-Fragile is the antithesis of anxious times. It appears fresh and practically illuminated from within. Unassuming yet intrinsically strong, it embodies cultural diversity, nature’s cycles and the quiet strength of transformation.

Some of that strength comes from the feeling that green, in its many forms, has become a steadfast and unfaltering neutral hue, especially in interior design. Anti-Fragile is a unique colour that stands quietly by yet surges with inspiration and influence. An easy ally in design and life. Quite pale, and near white, with minimal chroma, this green is influenced by warming yellow and is a colour suggestive of metamorphosis and the earliest emergence of new life, filled with light, as well as nature’s continual changes.

From residential and home décor to retail and commercial interiors, Anti-Fragile can fill a space with subtle light, act as a balance to deeper hues, and revel in its ability to be, at once, light and fresh, and clean and strong.

It adds a colour twist when used with periwinkle blue or coral, and becomes a sabre of light when used against charcoal grey and black. We suggest Resene Moody Blue, Resene Coral Tree, Resene Half Foundry and Resene Charcoal:
