Waitati Music and Arts Festival to feature mural with Resene testpots

12 Feb 2020

Festival attendees of the 9th Waitati Music and Arts Festival will have the chance to get creative with an interactive art mural when the event kicks off on Saturday 22 February.

Running from 11am to 11pm, the festival will feature three stages of music from the likes of Soaked Oats, Soul Kitchen and Skulldubbery, as well as poets and comedians. The event will also provide fun for the whole family, including a large kids’ zone with free activities.

Resene testpots will be on hand at the wall mural – one of the many art projects making the festival that much more colourful. The festival’s art program also features screen printing, clay sculpture and Oamaru stone carving, and encourages attendees to get involved.

Waitati Musical and Arts Festival aims to be zero waste to minimise rubbish being sent to landfill. Organisers encourage the use of reusable cups and plates, and suggest festival-goers to bring some from home to the event. To make going green easier, compost and recycle bins will be available.

Pre-sale tickets from Cosmic Corner are available to purchase now. Visit www.waitatimusicfest.nz for more details.

Attendees add their creative flair to a mural at a previous festival using a colourful and bold range of Resene testpots.
