The Heart Foundation is delighted to return to the ever-popular lakeside town of Taupō for Lottery No. 157. Valued at $1.055 million, this brand-new, fully furnished Jennian home is just waiting to be claimed by one lucky ticketholder.
Enjoy a laidback, lake town lifestyle and take advantage of everything Taupō has to offer. You could win the perfect base for your adventures, for just $15 a ticket.
In this modern kitchen, light and dark is perfectly balanced. The walls are painted in Resene Tapa, a smoky grey, with trims and the ceiling painted in Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream.
With a base of neutrals in Resene Tapa and Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream, homeowners can add their own colourful and personal touches through accessories and artwork.
“There’s something special about being able to own a home just a few minutes’ drive from the shore of Lake Taupō,” says Liz Halpin, Heart Foundation Lottery Operations Manager. “The town offers a perfect blend of everyday necessities and resort-style living. Whether you’re drawn to hike the nearby mountain ranges or set sail on the calm waters, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Expertly designed and decorated in striking Resene paint colours, this first-prize Jennian home helps bring the stunning surrounding scenery inside. With touches of seashell cream, pumice grey and volcanic black, Lake Taupō’s shoreline is clearly the inspiration for this gorgeous property.
This bedroom is painted head-to-toe in Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream, a classic white that pairs well with the ochre toned accessories.
In the bathroom, the colour scheme continues, tying the spaces together. The panelled wall is painted in Resene Tapa and surrounding walls, trims and the ceiling painted in Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream.
Once again, the Heart Foundation teamed up with Trace Beaumont-Orr to bring this exciting first prize to life. She shares her thoughts with us.
What colours did you choose?
“I wanted to ensure that there was seamless flow from the exterior into the interior, so I kept this in mind when choosing a palette. Internally, the combination of Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream and Resene Tapa gave a strong ambience and was a great base to accent with black and the strong patterns in the art and accessories. Even though the colours were neutral, the depth made an edgy scheme easy to achieve.”
What was your favourite aspect of the design?
“I really enjoyed using accent colours through the soft furnishings and art, which made for a fun, quirky interior! I had lots of fun working on this first-prize home.”
Sit and bask in the sun on this stunning veranda. The exterior is painted in Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream with the columns, window trims and fascia in Resene Tapa.
The brand-new lottery home you could be driving home to is freshly painted in Resene Eighth Thorndon Cream and Resene Tapa.
