Summer exploring: NZ House and Garden Tours

The NZ House & Garden Tours, coloured by Resene, are Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest charity house tours, run in support of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.

Each year the tours, a summer favourite for home and garden enthusiasts, take place in seven or eight homes in four hand-picked regions around the country showcasing the best in local design and style.

Tour dates and locations for 2026 are:

• Wanaka, 13-14 February (sold out)
• Christchurch, 20-21 February (VIP and Sundown session tickets available)
• Taupo 13-14 March (sold out)
• North Shore, Auckland 27-28 March

The tours are designed to be self-drive, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy beautiful, curated homes and gardens in their own time, allowing for stops to take in the local scenery, attractions, eateries and wineries. There are also VIP tickets available for those wanting a guided itinerary, lunch, a goodie bag and exclusive access to a VIP home.

This year’s event also includes a new Sundown Session, brought to you by Wairau River Wines. Visit the VIP house from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, enjoy a glass of Wairau River Wine and light refreshments while exploring the home.
