Purple Day taken to new heights by Epilepsy NZ with this perfect paint job

08 Apr 2021

New Zealanders have used a little purple power purple  to support a good cause. In March, Resene encouraged people to support Epilepsy Awareness Day, aka Purple Day, on 26 March by donating $1 to Epilepsy NZ for every purple testpot sold. The initiative, Paint it Purple, is currently in its third year and is part of Resene’s ongoing commitment to support local communities.

This year, Epilepsy NZ took Paint it Purple to a whole new level and transformed their central Hamilton building into a lavender delight using Resene Séance. Resene donated the vibrant purple paint and local painters from Mike Stent Decorators offered up their time to prepare and paint the building. They did an awesome job and the Epilepsy NZ building is now a standout on Vialou Street.

Before and after: The central Hamilton Epilepsy NZ building has been perked up with purple paint in Resene Séance and window trims in Resene Sea Fog.

Marketing and Fundraising Lead for Epilepsy NZ Sarah Verran is excited about the completed project. “The building looks amazing and we are so very appreciative of the paint and the resources provided to do this,” says Sarah. “It’s great to be able to finally link our brand and our building together.”
