Plunket wants you to celebrate your dad this Father’s Day by getting active!

02 Sep 2020

It is that time of year when we celebrate our dads, fathers, papas or the men in our lives that fill these roles. This year, Plunket is acknowledging the amazing mahi that dads do, their role in the whānau and how important it is to support their changing and often challenging role.

During Father’s Day weekend, September 5th and 6th, individuals, families, groups and workplaces are invited to sign up to run, walk, swim or cycle to celebrate or honour a father (or father figure) in their lives and raise funds to go towards helping Whānau Āwhina Plunket deliver their essential services at the same time.

Plunket will be hosting a virtual series of activities, so you can choose the activity you want to be part of, and the distance you want to do. Even though it’s their day of honour, dads are encouraged to enter too!

All of those involved will receive a Virtual Race Pack, which has training and nutrition ideas, discount vouchers from sponsorship partners, inspiration to make the most of your Father’s Day weekend and a very special playlist to help keep you motivated.

After you have run, walked, swum or cycled – share your efforts with Plunket, let them know how you did, and be in the draw to win some fabulous spot prizes.

For more information and to register visit the Plunket website.
