Our First Home: the latest room reveals
03 Mar 2016
Things are shaping up for the families and their properties on TV ONE's Our First Home. In the latest episodes, we saw the reveal of an enticing outdoor area, a modern bedroom makeover and the completion of a very stylish tiny home. Here are some of the recent highlights.
Team Roughan
The Roughan family made over one of their bedrooms, changing the worn out interior to neat and modern. The hard work paid off, with judges deciding the Roughans added the most property value for the week and winning them a week with charismatic apprentice builder Carla Tonga.
Inside, they made over one of the bedrooms in Resene Athens Grey on the walls and Resene Quarter Alabaster on the rest. The plywood unit is painted in Resene Bokara Grey.
Team Wotton
This week's focus was on completing the Wotton's tiny house, keeping the colour scheme simple with white walls and yellow, black and grey furnishings.
The family used Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Alabaster for the walls and Resene semi-gloss tinted to Resene Alabaster for the window frames, creating a serene outside bedroom.
Team Pearce
The Pearces won the family outdoor task with their coastal-style backyard, inspired by the black sand beaches of West Auckland.
They freshened up their fence in Resene Alabaster, and built vegetable garden boxes painted in Resene Ironsand. To reinforce the west coast feel, they added an outdoor feature of seashells and black tiles.
We can't wait to see what the next room reveals will be!
Our First Home airs Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays at 7.30pm, on TV ONE.
