Magical murals take out top prize

Ten artists are painting New Zealand beautiful after winning the Resene Nature Murals competition. The competition run with Keep New Zealand Beautiful asked artists to design a mural with an environmental message for a wall in their neighbourhood. The results were spectacular, with the winning mural designs featuring soaring birds, fabulous flowers and inspiring messages.  

The ten talented artists won a $750 Resene paint voucher to bring their mural to life and will also receive a $1000 commission on the completion of their murals. We can’t wait to see these murals pop up on walls and buildings around New Zealand. Check out their incredible designs below:

Keep New Zealand Beautiful not-for-profit organisation dedicated to keeping Aotearoa’s communities clean, safe and beautiful. The organisation behind ‘Be A Tidy Kiwi’ and ‘Do the Right Thing’ campaigns has been a part of New Zealand culture for more than 50 years. Keep New Zealand Beautiful is currently looking for registrations for Clean Up New Zealand week 13-19 September.
