Hurry, entries close soon for Resene Shed of the Year 2021!

This annual competition, run by Resene and NZ Gardener magazine, is looking for clever and creative man caves and she sheds, cute chicken coops and potty potting sheds and there are some cool prizes up for grabs -- including $1000 worth of Resene paint each for the winner and for two runners-up! The competition closes on February 28 so be quick.

Previous entrants have put the Resene paint to good use, adding still more colour and creativity to their award-winning sheds! 

2018 runner up Sandra Strickland used her prize money to paint her garage with Resene Irresistible.

Sandra Strickland, who was a joint runner-up in Resene Shed of the Year 2018 for her amazing 6m x 9m backyard shed in Wainui which houses her extensive collection of Americana memorabilia – including a Wurlitzer jukebox and a breakfast bar built out of the bonnet of 1964 Chevy Impala -- used the paint to update another garage on her and her husband's Hibiscus Coast property.

She wanted a 50s themed space, as the couple use this garage to house some of their classic car collection. 

“I purchased one of the brightest shades of pink Resene have in their range,” Sandra says. “It’s called Resene Irresistible. The colour looks amazing!

“I was originally thinking of blue and white but we have several vehicles in blue and aqua and I didn’t want them to blend into the walls. When I saw that pink in the colour chart that Resene sent me with the voucher, I was instantly hooked.”
