A look at some past favourites:

Artist Brooke Wyn (@bwyn_art) transformed a water tank in Kaukapakapa into a colour-filled mural using Resene paint, celebrating native flora and fauna. “I wanted the mural to blend into the bush and planting around the property,” says Brooke. “Resene paint is vibrant, smooth to apply and great quality. I know it’ll last in the outdoor elements.” Brooke used a range of greens such as Resene Chateau Green, Resene BilbaoResene CorianderResene Turtle Green and Resene Clover along with pops of other colours to suit her mural, such as Resene BullwhipResene Energy YellowResene Albescent WhiteResene Aquarius, Resene Apple Blossom, Resene Double Friar Greystone, Resene West CoastResene Brown Derby and Resene Fandango.

When Maureen was living in rented accommodation following the Christchurch earthquake she had four years to dream about how she would liven up the “boring grey concrete courtyard” of her rebuilt townhouse. She went with walls and garden features in Resene Cardinal with a wooden fence stained in deep charcoal Resene Woodsman Crowshead. “Pink, to match my couch! I also got my glass kitchen backsplash in the same pink to balance the room. The kitchen people rang twice to check that I had actually chosen that colour.”

(Right) Greytown gardener Kelsey has always loved Japanese gardens, so she brought the look to life using bright plants, upcycled chairs and the brightest red paint she could find – Resene Poppy.
