Choose your favourite design theme and you could WIN $5000 for your home!

Parnell is once again running its annual décor competition, partnered with Resene, where you’ll have the chance to vote for your favourite design theme.

Last week we introduced the first theme, Art Nouveau, and this week we’re giving you a sneak peek at another style that might just be your favourite: 

Art Deco

Art Deco is all about the rich use of colours, bold geometric patterns and decadent detail work—this is reflected with Resene Wallpaper Collection 37528-1. Pairing the deep colour of Resene Half Ironsand with Resene Rice Cake creates drama, highlighting the details in the furniture pieces and homeware accessories alike - such as the debonair Ralph Lauren Garret Decanter and Tumblers from Trenz seater, the Dew Drops Pendant available from Light Plan constructed from mouth-blown crystal and vegan leather, or the elegant solid mahogany Knightsbridge Desk from Elle Maison. Black patinated Steel tables from Bauhaus, a Teak Roller Max sideboard from Cuchi, or an Athens Runner from Source Mondial consolidate the dramatic tones. Enhancing the look, this style brings in both glamour and luxury with symmetrical designs and exuberant shapes such as the Zoriside table from Corso Interiors.

Bring together the bold geometry with a screenprint (‘Queen 1.19 G’) by Brad Novak aka New Blood Pop, available from Parnell Gallery. Finally, accessorise with the striking Inu Vase from Alfresco Inexterior Living.

Competition details:

By entering the competition, you can win a $4,000 Décor voucher thanks to the Parnell Business Association, to spend in one of the eligible participating décor outlets in Parnell. Plus, this year there will be a ‘Resene room makeover’ along with a free Resene colour consultation valued at $1000.

How to enter:

Click on the colour theme you love the most and your favourite Parnell décor item within that theme, then enter the competition by filling out the entry form. You can enter as many times as you like!

Competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 31 October and the winner will be drawn soon after.
