Check out this ‘pawsome’ art trail in Auckland
23 Mar 2023
Paws for Purpose is an interactive art trail and auction, raising funds for Blind Low Vision NZ, a guide dog charity based in Auckland. The sculptures are based on the iconic Trudy Dog coin collection boxes, painted by local artists in vibrant Resene paint colours.
This is a ‘pawsitively’ unique art trail with every cent raised going towards the construction of new Guide Dog Kennels. Blind Low Vision NZ is a charity aiming to empower New Zealanders who are blind, deafblind, or low vision to live their best life.
Every day an average of three New Zealanders finds out that they are going blind. Currently, there is a 12-month waiting list for a guide dog and with your help, these pups can have greater open and shared spaces to socialise and be happy and healthy as they grow.
With easy access, the Paws for Purpose art trail is fully accessible to those who are blind, deafblind or low vision in New Zealand. If you’ve got a day to spare before the end of March, make a fun day of it with the family and check out these marvellous artist creations.
