A creative tea towel for a good cause

Add some charm to your next morning tea with this beautiful tea towel design by Ruby Seeto. Featuring a delicious Carrot Cake recipe from Ruby’s Nana Una, this fun tea towel is being sold in conjunction with Wallace Cotton to raise funds for Starship Children’s Hospital. The cute mini carrot design is available as a wash cloth or tea towel and is the perfect gift for a birthday or Christmas.

Over the years Ruby’s tea towel designs have raised over $500,000 to help young patients and their families at Starship Children’s Hospital.

“I designed my first tea towel at the end of my chemotherapy treatment in 2007,” says Ruby. “We had a local screen-printer print my sunflower design on a few hundred tea towels and sold them to family and friends. When Wallace Cotton approached Starship in 2009 to see how they could help, Starship paired the two of us together - a match made in heaven! 

“It’s really important to me to give back to the hospital that helped me to recover from cancer. Seeing the positive impact that our partnership has on Starship kids and their families is really rewarding.”
