Designer Mem Shoppee from Mem Butler Interiors wanted to give this dated, beige exterior a more modern and welcoming feel. Now resting brightly amongst the neutral exterior, is a magic kind of entry. Inspired by the glow of the setting sun and the underside of magnolia leaves, Mem chose a dazzling twist with Resene FX Metallic in the shade Resene Magma on the front door and gates.

To apply the paint using a spray system, Shay, carefully masked off all adjacent surfaces, hardware and windows. He also covered nearby parked cars each day to keep them free from paint.
