Beautify your home while also beautifying the country with Woman magazine and Resene’s Paint New Zealand Beautiful fundraiser art auction

Bid on the enchanted ocean painting, 'Periwinkle Pool', by Kiwi artist Ginney Deavoll at TradeMe and the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Paint New Zealand Beautiful, a charity set up to beautify communities with a whole host of activities including painting projects.  Resene has proudly supported Keep New Zealand Beautiful since 2003.

The auction finishes next Monday 24 January 2022 and there’s already huge interest in the stunning artwork.

Coromandel based artist Ginney learned many of her artistic talents through family members including her Oma (grandmother) uncle and father and she was brought up in a house where the kitchen table was rarely free of projects. “My dad taught me how to draw and use watercolour technique,” says Ginney.

“But my mum encouraged the creative side. She was a teacher and gave me the opportunity to paint my first mural at her school in Christchurch when I was only 14 years old.”

Ginney’s passion is for both art and the environment, she lugged her canvases and paints to remote beaches and hill tops to paint whenever she had a chance using Resene paints.  Ginney adores the range of vibrant colours and finds them perfect for her murals.
