Bathing in style

02 Aug 2018

Combining European-inspired Adesso products with deep Resene blues, this feature in the latest issue of Urbis sets the scene for luxurious bathroom style.

In these settings, Resene Tarawera anchors the scheme (above), with a vanity area painted in Resene Blue Lagoon and a strip of fiery Resene Whizz Bang (below).

Adesso’s European-inspired range was inspired by homeowners looking to bring luxury into their bathrooms, but at affordable prices.

A luxe feel isn’t the only thing trending in bathroom design. Adesso’s Louise Cook shares her thoughts on the upcoming bathroom trends:

  • Colour and finishing on bathroom products are always evolving. There’s no doubt that black is here to stay but new trends in tapware finishes, such as brushed nickel, copper and gun metal, are gaining in popularity.
  • There’s a move towards smaller, more compact housing and an increase in apartment living. Space is a huge factor – whether it’s smaller bathrooms or just ensuring all the family’s needs are met within the bathroom, with mirror cabinets, shelving units or vanities with extra drawer space.?
  • Adesso is also seeing the movement towards an ageing population, with comfort-height toilets now becoming a standard rather than an option, and easy access to showers and grab rails increasingly considered in bathroom renovation and new build designs.
