Winning bathrooms and kitchens

Inspiration abounds in the winner's list from this year's National Kitchen & Bathroom Awards.

Now in its 30th year, the NKBA Awards acknowledges the leading kitchen and bathroom designers in the industry, including Kitchen Design of the Year, Best Traditional/Classic Kitchen Design, and Best Kitchen under 25,000.

Winning the Resene Best Use of Colour award for a beautiful botanical-themed kitchen was Simone van der Plas of Encompass Ideas, Wellington.

Simone recognised that the owners of the small, 1960s house had a passion for botanical imagery and integrated it into the design, offset by soft aqua blue cabinetry.
