Resene paints Christmas in Oz

18 Dec 2014

It's a magical winter wonderland this year in the famous Myer Christmas Windows at the Melbourne flagship store. This year's windows tell a story of a family of polar bears, which receives a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself.

Earlier this year, design agency Stage One ordered the full colour range of Resene Filmpro paints, to be applied to the scenery and Christmas characters destined for the Australian department store.

Stage One has designed the Myer Christmas Windows since 1994, which takes six months to complete core production, and 30 additional artisan specialists. The colours are meticulously applied, this year bringing to life flying reindeer, sparkling icicles, and a cosy home for the polar bears.

If you're not in the area this Christmas, gather the kids and watch the windows come alive in the above video, and parts 2 and 3 here. The detail is magnificent.
