Making art happen

02 Feb 2016

Concrete Cube Collective are local artists who lend their talents to creating contemporary artworks for the public to enjoy... giving themselves the timeframe of only one day to make each piece.

And this Sunday, the Collective is heading to Auckland's waterfront to create seven artworks in only seven hours. The public is welcome to watch the artists at work, ask questions and even partake in the process. It's about connecting contemporary art with the people, outside of a gallery or traditional exhibition.

The free event will take place at Te Wero Island Bridge, next to the Viaduct Harbour, from 10am. The artists involved are Neala Glass, Renee Pennington, Justin Ewins, Kendal Mustard, Wei Lun Ha and Philippa Neilsen, with support from Resene.

For up to date details on the event, see Concrete Cube Collective on www.facebook.com.
