Luke and Lou go for beachy and modern

21 Dec 2017

When Auckland couple Luke and Lou wanted to turn their 1960's beach-style bach into a "forever home", they asked HOMEmade for help.

With breathtaking views of the water from their living room, Melissa and team chose to bring in a fresh beachy style to the home, with modern elements.

Melissa and team installed tongue and groove panelling around the bottom half of the walls, painting it in Resene Quarter Merino. On the upper half of the walls, they applied wallpaper (code Y6200907) from the Resene Wallpaper collection available from Resene ColorShops. The ceiling and trims are painted in Resene Alabaster.

The HOMEmade crew also installed new carpet, new seating (couches and dining chairs) and dressed the room, keeping the beachy feel in mind.

The living room wasn’t the only area that received a makeover. Outside, Dan created an entertaining space which suits the beach-style of Luke and Lou’s home.
