Asthma Awareness Week

15 Oct 2014

Balloon Day, this Friday 17 October, is the Asthma Foundation’s annual fundraising event, to provide an opportunity to not only raise awareness of the challenges associated with having asthma in New Zealand, but also raise much needed funds to keep Kiwi kids out of hospital.

Why balloons? One in four children struggle to blow up a balloon – because of asthma. While the balloons convey a serious message, they are also a positive symbol. Every year, Balloon Day inspires a huge range of educational and entertaining activities around the country, as well as raising funds for the foundation.
