Next week, keep your eyes fixed to the skies as Balloons over Waikato comes alive.

This year’s theme is Flying With Animals and Resene has responded with its very own Wild about Colour Ark.

The hot air balloon is a whimsical recreation of Noah’s Ark, and stars a menagerie of wild animals – from a curious elephant to grinning crocodile.

More than 1700 individual pieces were used to create the Resene Wild about Colour Ark, and it’s one of the most complex balloons every built. It measures a whopping 30m long, and is 25m tall and 16m wide.
