The Color Run comes to NZ

08 Oct 2014

After last year's successful inaugural New Zealand event, the Color Run is back. The Color Run – an exciting and unique 5km fun run experience with a colourful twist – has been a massive hit in cities around the world, with runners booking early. The local events aren't until early next year (Auckland on February 15; Wellington on March 29 and Christchurch on March 14 ) but get yourself registered early at www.thecolorrun.co.nz.

Inspired by paint parties and the Holi Festival, The Color Run sees runners looking like they've been struck by a rainbow after being doused with a different brightly coloured powder (actually 100% natural food grade corn starch) at every kilometre mark. At the end of the course there is an epic, family–friendly celebration, including mass colour throws, DJs, dance-offs and food stalls.

Color Runners can enter as individuals or teams of four or more. Entry fees include an official T-shirt, race bib and other goodies. For those who want to clean up before they head home after the event there is even a special Cleaning Zone.

Resene is the official colour of The Color Run and will have special activities for Color Runners on the day along with the other official Color Run partners, ZM and New Balance.

Get in quick, and get ready to get colourful!
