Colourful flatlays, clever DIY ideas with Resene paint, eye-catching photography... stylist Nikki Astwood's projects are always a treat for the eyes, and her projects are well-loved here at habitat (look out for them on our DIY page).

Nikki studied interior design at The Interior Design Institute and has recently been creating beautifully styled flatlays for the school's social media pages – the images feature colours and trends that have inspired her lately.

With Nikki being an avid Resene lover, the flatlays often star Resene testpots and paint chips.

The Interior Design Institute teaches interior design through their online course, with 12 comprehensive modules.
